How
We Started |
The
General Manager and Owner of the Perry Legend Collision
Repair Center Bill Rajewski tells the story behind the current
success of the company: |

The
old facility on Providence Road |
Perry
Legend Collision Repair Center was born on August 4, 1986. We
first opened our doors at 1600 Old Highway 63 South in Columbia, in a prior BMW,
Volkswagen, Audi and Renault Dealership.
Our growth was immediate. Within one year we had outgrown the facility.
We already had a frame machine, a mechanical lift and an alignment machine in place,
but no room for additional equipment. In mid-1987 we found a large vacated furniture
store on Providence Road. It was an opportunity to double our size.
On Thanksgiving weekend of 1987 we moved into our new home at 1407 North Providence Road. |
|
| Our
reputation had grown tremendously. With our success in automotive repair,
our customers requested greater capacity and expanded services. In 1990 we built a
9,600 square foot addition to the facility for large truck repair. We could work
on a car, a boat, or an 18 wheeler. We had met the needs of Central Missouri with an
incredible investment in collision repair for any vehicle.
Soon, once again, we could not meet the demand. In the fall of 2001 in our effort to
expand our facility, parking and additional investments, we moved to 3101 Lemone
Industrial Boulevard.

We
probably won't stop growing here and will expand further as
business needs demand it. We have gone from a company with
gross sales of $450,000 after the first five months in
business to $1.6 million the following year. In 2001, our
gross totaled $4.4 million! Perry Legend is growing. With
new ideas on the market and while adopting new technologies
we will further benefit our customer base.
